Community Conversations
Let’s Talk About Homelessness
. . . a moderated discussion with three Chicago-area organizations addressing the needs of the homeless this winter . . .
First in a new Community Conversations series sponsored by the PCWS Mission committee, “Let’s Talk About Homelessness” will be a zoom conversation featuring representatives from Chicago HOPES for Kids, the Night Ministry and The Boulevard, and will be hosted by Kevin McDermott of PCWS, host of weekly television show “Public Perspective”.
While our Mission funds provide financial support to each of these organizations each year, our aim now is to come to a deeper understanding of these mission partners, the clients they serve and the ways in which they serve. And we’d like all of you to join us in this discovery. We’re pretty sure there’s a lot about homelessness we don’t understand. And we are grateful to the leaders of each of these organizations for joining us in this conversation.
Joining us will be:
Tonya Rice, Board Chair, Chicago HOPES for Kids
Rev. Brittany Caine-Conley, Congregational Engagement Manager, The Night Ministry
Renita White, CEO, The Boulevard
We invite you to read about each of these organizations by following the links to their websites.
We also invite you to gather your family for this conversation, as our hope is to share stories that will touch the hearts of all ages. Invite your friends. And join us as we all learn ways in which we can reach out to neighbors in need and be God’s light in the world during the Holiday Season.
