PCWS Clergy and Staff
Rev. Dan Robertson, Pastor and Head of Staff
We are excited to welcome Reverend Dan Robertson as our Pastor and Head of Staff! The Reverend Dan Robertson, also known as Pastor Dan, began serving at PCWS in August of 2023. He comes to Western Springs with over 14 years of ministry experience in the church in the areas of Kansas City, San Francisco, New Orleans, and Fairbury in Central Illinois. Dan approaches ministry with love and care for all people with additional focus on community building and family ministry.
His theology, both in his personal life and in service to the church, are centered around our Sacraments of Baptism and Communion. In Baptism God claims us as we are to enter into a covenant of grace and transformation by the power of the Holy Spirit. In Communion we proclaim that Christ is enough, therefore each of us, as God’s children, are worthy of love and community. You will often hear Dan say that Communion is not about building walls, but pulling up chairs.
Growing up around Kansas City, MO, Dan is well accustomed to the Midwest and fully experiencing all 4 seasons – sometimes in the same day! You will often find him outside (regardless of the season) spending time with his family, or in the kitchen preparing a family meal. As an intentional lifelong learner Dan is open to talking and learning about pretty much anything. However, he especially lights up when talking about cooking, basketball, boating, and board games.
You can reach Dan during the week by email at firstname.lastname@example.org here or by calling the church office and setting an appointment – 708-246-5220.

We are pleased to introduce Benjamin Drew as our new Director of Youth Ministry. Ben’s background is in church leadership with experience leading worship, directing youth groups, and preaching/teaching. He is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Christian Ministries. Growing up, Ben was active in youth programs, and he has a passion for helping others on their faith journey.
As the Director of Youth Ministry, Ben will work to engage with youth (primarily 6th-12th grade); coordinate, plan, and lead mission opportunities for youth, including an annual week-long mission trip; and build connections with families of younger children in support of Children’s Ministry.
Ben describes himself as “an avid reader, a coffee fanatic, a plant dad, and a lover of new adventures!”
“In talking with Ben and his references, we were very impressed with Ben’s inventive and creative nature, his great love for youth ministries, and that community is a big focus for him. I’m excited for Ben to join PCWS, and I’m especially excited for our middle school and high school families.” – Paul Banovic, PCWS Personnel Committee
